A course designed to initiate Master's students in fashion management to foresight methods. From weak signals to scenario building, students developed four prospective narratives for fashion in 2035, exploring their strategic implications across the value chain.

In a context of rapid transformation — social, technological, cultural, ecological — fashion faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities. This course introduced future professionals to strategic foresight tools to navigate uncertainty.

Students explored the foundations of futures studies: identifying weak signals, clustering them into macro-trends, and building four scenarios for fashion in 2035. Each group analyzed the implications of their scenario throughout the value chain: design, supply & logistics, fabrication, distribution, and communication.

These prospective narratives offer a valuable toolkit for brands, enabling them to question current assumptions and better prepare for multiple futures.

The next segment of this course, which will delve into design fiction, is scheduled for May.
